The President of the AEDIDH was interviewed for 30 minutes by the Canal Sur TV Andalusia, for the programme entitled "Interview" which is broadcast daily.

Two journalists asked Carlos Villán numerous questions on the global campaign for the human right to peace and other activities. They also were very interested in his personal experience as a former member of the Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations in Geneva, and his human rights work in several countries (Chile, Guatemala, and Peru). They also reviewed him on current issues such as the questions of universal jurisdiction by Spanish courts, prosecutions of Pinochet and Fujimori, femicide in Mexico, the dismantlement of Guantanamo, and accountability of human rights to the torturers.

Carlos Villán stated that the human right to peace is an effective response to the systemic crisis that dominates the world. Examples of this crisis are the culture of violence, massive violations of human rights, the arms race, and violence caused by structural inequalities in the world.

The interview will be broadcast in the near future by Canal Sur TV. Subsequently, the interview it will be distributed by DVD.
